Il Grillo è Buoncantore is a contemporary Italian osteria where a deep connection to the local area meets tradition and innovation, offering a dining experience rooted in authentic flavours, carefully selected ingredients, and a passion for good food.

The story of the osteria begins with Tiziana Tacchi, whose love of cooking started in childhood, when she would accompany her mother, a travelling cook, and discover the traditions and flavours of Italian cuisine.

In 2001, Tiziana opened Il Grillo è Buoncantore, bringing her passion and experience to life as both chef and sommelier.

In 2009, she joined the Slow Food Alliance of Chefs, embracing its philosophy of Good, Clean and Fair Food. Through her cooking, she continues to celebrate and promote local ingredients, traditional recipes, and regional specialities, while actively supporting small-scale producers and businesses.

Her culinary approach combines respect for tradition with a constant desire to explore new techniques and possibilities. In recent years, she has also introduced the San Casciano dei Bagni Cooking Box, a slow-cooking method that she has personally tested and refined, allowing ingredients to cook gently while preserving their natural flavours and qualities.
